Solar Energy, At Night?

Harvard scientists have discovered a possible way to make solar energy panels work at night. The infrared radiation that the Earth produces at night is hurled back into space. This energy, if it could be harnessed, could produce a form of solar electricity that could be produced at night. In fact, this could make solar panels work all day and night.

Even though scientists claim that the technology is counter-intuitive, they also admit that it makes sense on paper. Therefore, there could be a possible solution on the horizon for those who want to get more out of the solar energy panels. This technology is not even in its infancy yet, but it is just one way that the Earth could provide more power to the human race rather than the human race drilling for fossil fuels and eventually running out in a few decades time.
