New Solar Plant Outside Pueblo
Xcel Energy and Community Energy of Boulder are producing a new solar panel and production plant outside of Pueblo that is going to be designed to power over 30,000 homes in the Colorado. The partnership between Xcel Energy and Community Energy of Boulder is one that should be noted for its cooperative nature in bringing alternative energy sources to areas that are in desperate need of the energy that the sun can provide.
The project will take just over a year to build, but it will come nearly five years after the city council of Pueblo decided it was time to respond to the nation calling out to communities to do more to get renewable energy in their areas. With this new project, Colorado could get a jump start on solar energy that could make the state more energy independent as it moves farther into the 21st Century.
